:-( I just had a friend back into my BMW z4 and damage the rear passenger corner. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely going to need a repair shop. Anybody know a reputable shop for working on BMWs in the Washington DC Alexandria Virginia area? Thank you.

I’d recommend posting this in the general BMW section. Bet you’ll get some responses there. Off I top of my head, I can’t think of anyone on the Z4 section that is relatively active on here and from that area.

Thanks! I found a shop with a good reputation. Now I have learned about diminished value and have to figure out how to go after that. I know that all cars and BMWs in particular lose value when the carfax shows an accident.

This really sucks, I’m sorry to hear about the accident. With friends like that who needs enemies!! J/k I’m sure friend feels like crap for that accident.

With how often cars are driven , parked, etc it’s fortunate accidents are relatively rare. It will be fixed up and looking great, in time you will forget it even happened.

Yes, I suppose they could try and pull that. My bumper cover has a slice in at and a large divot from the ball. The bumper has also been pushed in from the black trim below.

I would not be happy with a filler-based repair. Just the thought makes me

Adjuster came today. New bumper cover for sure. I suspect the initial estimate/payment is low, but I think they do this on purpose so that if you don't do the repair, you pocket less $.
