Sorry I'm not trying to be dismissive at all. Adapting takes time and there are ways to help the process, like those incentives I mentioned. $7500 Federal tax credit, $2500 state rebates, $1000 energy rebate are all quite substantial in addition to the money you can save on fuel itself vs charging. I'm sure you and your employer can find a way so that you can still be compensated and while it might require burning a little more calories than just giving them a gas receipt, that $10,500 in free money should make it a bit easier.

Personally, my current home (condo) and work isn't conducive to having an EV, but I'm not so hung up on my situation as much as I'm interested in how people get reimbursed for charging their business vehicle. While I don't know of any Regional or Sales Representitve using an EV for work, I'm confident someone is using one. Hopefully someone eventually can share how they're reimbursed.
