Was in Houston over the weekend and saw one red Z4 while I was there. Also saw a beautiful McLaren too. Kid was happy to we that. It’s HIS dream car.

Did the Genius line or your sales advisor confirm the ship name? Definitely make the call so you know. KW and CJ were helpful on that for me.

Not yet. I dunno if my SA would even know TBH... he was surprised it had already left the factory. Just found out this morning that it was at the port, so I may call later today to see if I can get some info on what vessel it'll be on.

With the SA, ask them to contact their distribution analyst. I got an answer in 1 day. That is the mark of a good SA.

Also, keep in mind Genius told me that ship scheduling is 2-3 weeks upon port arrival. Not trying to burst your bubble, just want you to have a realistic date to work with.

You are right about the durability of a wrap vs. paint, but I’m not sure what the cost would be for a quality paint job in matte or frozen colors. The other option is plasti-dip, but I don’t know what it would cost. The nice thing with those two options are that you can go back to stock when you are ready to sell.

Genius says 1-2 weeks after it gets to port on average, but both yours and Kwajtrader's went into transit 6 days after it dispatched from the factory, which is what I'm basing my best case scenario on.

Granted, I'm also prepared for (worst) which would be week of 23rd.

True, but a good quality paint job is going to cost about $10k and that means it is a long term keeper. I will drive it until the wheels fall off. Had my 350Z for 13 years until I got into a BMW.

I understand, but for accuracy sake, mine took 16 days from port to transit; however, that could have been due to the RAM. Some others had a 30 day wait though.

I'm pulling for ya though.

Yeah, we’ll see. Getting sooo close for a bunch of us, at this point. This forum is gonna be inundated with pics.

Not sure on the RAM. But vessel hits Galveston 25 JUN and figure a week for the dealer turnaround. Will get notice from dealer probably 01 JUL and will say I work and will collect on 03 JUL.

Well let's hope it is sooner for you. My SA told me it's a 1-2 hour turn around once the car is delivered. (pending someone is available to do it). For a new car that's getting sold, you'd think they'd put some stank on that to make sure it gets done and delivered to the buyer. Just sayin.....

Got this in the mail today. Carbon addicts. I don’t recommend them. This will do the job until I can find real carbon fiber key cover. Can’t win them all I suppose.
