Walmart Subscription Service

Walmart finally announced some details about its subscription service:

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/01/walm...tivity.Message

We don’t grocery shop at Walmart and Walmart doesn’t offer grocery delivery service here even if we did, so maybe that is skewing my perception of this program. But I don’t see much value in what the are offering. For non-groceries, they already offer free delivery for orders over $35. Is anyone planning to sign up for this new subscription and if so, what’s the attraction?

I guess they're trying to do something to compete with Amazon

I love Wally World! We get basically everything from there minus meat. I will probably be member and let you know how it is.

We do the grocery delivery probably twice a month, it's really convenient with young kids and Covid and all.

Only problem is when they do shitty substitutions or they don't have it at all.

Except it’s pretty different than Prime.

If this means Walmart prices without having to go to Walmart stores or deal with with the people who go to Walmart, this might be a big winner

You can already do that by ordering online or via their app.

Walmart doesn't deliver here even though there are two stores within 7 miles of us. Non-starter for us unless they start delivering on our area.
