I made bbq shrimp quesadillas with lemon and chives, then my usual typical steak plate. This is how we do it in the beef household.

Thanks, I dropped some chives on the quesadilla and gave it a quick squeeze of lemon, but I was living in the moment and didn't get a pic.

My surgeon told me to eat plenty of protein during recovery. I just smiled and said "that won't be any problem."

I picked up a can of that at Sprouts, but when I read the ingredients were just beans and tofu, I sat it back on the shelf. Am I missing out on something good here? Never tried chili without real meat.

It's good. I make a frito pie with it - chopped onions, grated cheese, and of course....frito chips. As the one dude would say "luxury chili."

I continued playing with Asian influenced cooking, or in this case American Chinese take out style.

Wonton soup, I made the broth in the pressure cooker, made the filling and so on.

Turned out great, my wife and kids said to keep this one in the rotation.

Tomates farcies, stuffed tomatoes

Recipe from Bruno Albouze on YouTube.

The recipe calls for ground pork and veal, but I had ham on hand so I used it. Stuffing with ground ham, proscuitto, onions, shallots, garlic, mushrooms, breadcrumbs and egg. Garnished with lemon confit.
