Adaptive LED headlights question

Quick question, some cars manufacturers do a much better job with headlights than others, how well is BMW’s Adaptive full LED headlights? Do they work well to illuminate the night road?

work well

Mine work very well. Note that the adaptive part is only up and down and not right/left like most other BMW models. There are side lights for low speed corners though. This is for the US spec 2020 model and before. Don't know if anything has changed since then.

They work ok but the ones on my M3 were active and moved with the steering wheel angle which is much better, but otherwise they are ok.

I think they work really well, just be mindful that they are not similar to Audi's Matrix LED or the 'level 2' (or was it level 3?) adaptive headlights in other BMW models where they continuously avoid traffic while keeping the high beam on.
I kinda got burnt here because I assumed they'd be like that, but they're not. They'll auto-adjust up-down and it has cornering lights, and you can option auto-dimming long beam.

Don't the cornering lights light up when cornering though? Should achieve a similar effect no?

I drive with the auto high beam assist on, they work great when an oncoming car is approaching and turn off the high beams automatically, but I often get flashed at by oncoming cars. Anyone else have this issue?

I used to see my headlights align or level out vertically, against the garage door, when I first start up the car but don’t see them doing it anymore, is this normal?

To the best of my knowledge, it should do it at each start up.

I’m a big fan of lots of lights and was looking at ways to add additional lights, and as a little miffed there wasn’t any fogs. However, both the low beam and high beam are fantastic, lighting up ahead and to the sides extremely well.

I live in an area where there are literally no lights (street lights, house lights) and the road and importantly the sides (to spot any deer and other critters) are lit up clearly.
