2023 G29 M40i delivery thread

A little early, but starting off now with a month to go.

I have a VIN assigned and good to go with build next week.

Have opted for most options except the black pack so this is the look!

Collection pics and such to come.

Very nice. Mine has been sitting at port since last Friday. SFR over Ivory. I do have the Shadowline package, along with all the other options.

If my other car wasn’t red this would be my choice. SF was a a stop on our honeymoon so it would have been nice!

M40i is in Spartanburg Waiting for us to get there on the 31st to pick her up.
SSG/Magma. All options except cruise and wirelesss charging.

Feels like an eternity 😁

It does. Mine just started production.

How long did yours take after production to reach the Performance Center?

Production started 12/26. Got to Georgia around February 27th. Still says it’s at the port. ( that might be because I pushed the PCD out to end of March because of scheduling conflicts ). I snuck in on an existing allocation which saved me a lot of waiting. The last PDC I did this January took 5 days from when it arrived in Georgia to when it got to PC.

I might be doing the PCD on the same day with you. Fingers crossed. My car arrives in Brunswick tomorrow, and if everything sails through (which I know is unlikely), I will be booking my PCD this Friday.

Mine has an ETA to arrive at the dealer tomorrow! I keep anxiously checking the status on My BMW hoping that it will arrive early. The struggle is real! And of course we had all the nice weather last week and this week it’s cold and rainy.

How long were you at the initial German port? I’ve been at that status since 3/3. Hoping it moves sometime soon.

I think only about a week if that. It got on a ship fairly quickly.

I thought I was waiting for a production # and a build date. Then on 3/8 I check and I have a VIN and the car is built and at the departure port, currently waiting on a ship.

I'm doing the Performance Center Delivery in South Carolina; date to be determined.

It may be a while to get on a boat. I’ve been sitting at the port for a couple of weeks now. No pun… it’s driving me crazy!

Ugh. To follow-up, I decided to call the BMW Genius # today and see if they could give me any more details. The guy I talked to told me mine is held up at port as a result of the digital key issue. He said he saw a work order in place for it, but that was all the additional detail he could see. I hope it doesn't sit until there's a fix for this.

Exterior Body Enters Assembly today.

Another small step. Next Tuesday is scheduled production date. Then we await the slow boat from Germany.
