G29 Bentley Manual?

Long-time E46 owner and DIY'er. Would prefer to do my own Z maintenance rather than waste time at the dealer.

Is there a Bentley manual or service manual available for the G29 anywhere?

I tried to buy one fromrepair,amualnow.com. After I gladly paid $119 via PayPal I got a link which wouldn't open. Scroll down and the website says if not selected to receive a CD or a SD card, default selection is online download. But I couldn't find where to select cd/sdcard option so I got the link for a download that wouldn't open.. I called the website 1 888 575 8551. Supposed to be to a location in Minnesota but is an incomplete MN address. I called the number and got an answer in German. Going to email them now at support@repairmanualnow.com. Suspect it is in Germany, not MN I'll keep you updated.

Hopefully they're able to sort you out. The link not working is a very rookie mistake.

I don't have a G29 procedure, but the G05 procedure for the B58 engine specs the oil filter cap and drain plug torque at 25 Nm.

I thought they were putting a manual gearbox in a Bentley using the one they are going to (allegedly) use in the G29...

I reported it as spam, looks like it's gone.

On topic, it would be interesting to have a repair manual. What I've done with my last car was to think of a few jobs I had coming up (water pump, brakes, belts, etc.) and signed up for the official TIS for a day. Then I basically grabbed the stuff I needed for future use. Hmm that might not fit their terms but - it was worth it at least, to pay for a day.

You can find several videos on any maintenance you want to do on YouTube. That's why manuals are no longer available, I believe.
Just watch several of them to arrive at the best way to do your project.

Everything except for for G29 Z4's, it seems. There aren't many of them, and I'd guess a higher % of owners take them to the dealer. You could be right though, if there are some MKV Supra videos.

Videos can be helpful, but they’re not really a substitute. Besides that quality of videos varies hugely, they’re awfully hard to use as a reference when you’re under the car with grease on your hands.

Manuals aren't available because BMW stopped licensing the data to third parties. If you want it, you have to subscribe to BMWTIS. The only good thing is that you can download from TIS in PDF and they do offer a 1 day subscription. You can download a lot of PDFs in one day.
