Do you support Trump's riot response?

Seems way too little and way too late.

Is the commander and chief preventing chaos or not?

Do you feel safe?

Do you support Kushner's move to releasing criminals from prison to gain the black vote?

Once again we are at a point where the President should not have had to interact. These issues are state and local issues. Mayors and governors should be handling what's going on. They are failing so now the president has stepped in. So to answer your loaded question, yes I think the president is handling this correctly. Calling thugs thugs is ok. We need to increase force until the looting and rioting stop. I am in favor of the protesting, I think what happened to Mr. Floyd was beyond repulsive and something needs to change. Destruction of our cities and costing people billions is not.

Do I feel safe? I provide my own safety. I do not ask anyone to protect me, I will protect myself, my family, my neighbors and my friends.

My savior is in complete control.

I also support Trump, Democratic states failed big time to stop the riots, so Trump should step in and stop them.

Pretend you are the mayor of where you live and riots started. What would you do? It's not up to the POTUS to protect the cities where officials are elected by the population that lives there. However, once the POTUS sees that cities are being attacked and set on fire. Then yes, the POTUS should step in and help put an end to this hypocritical nonsense. If the local elected officials can't do their job, then it's time for The Commander and Chief to use his powers.

I'm not saying it's not the mayors responsibility - I'm saying if they are underprepared or outgunned wi should citizens look to?

You're all saying all Americans need safe rooms and AK's now? We've become San Paolo?

The Federal Govt's #1 job is not safety of its citizens?

An arm society is a peaceful society, the areas with the worse riots are the ares with harsh gun regulation and stupid laws of flee and bunker down instead of stand your ground.

Note guns restriction isn't the only factor but it does play a roll

SOP for "pass-the-buck" Trump.

Only worried about his hardcore base and how authoritarian regimes worldwide view the US.

He is incapable of critical thinking and showing leadership to the country at large.

Local Govts are NOT outgunned.

The majority of citizens are safe watching everything unfold on their TV.

Wrong. Exhibit A: Georgia has a republican governor

Can't say, I don't watch the news.

But I can tell you that I have plenty of guns and ammo, so it doesn't really matter.

No I don't. He is using this event as a way to look "not weak". Yet his tactics and ideas make him appear as a weak scared little man.

Never in my life have I heard witnessed a President of the United States threaten violence against the citizens of the USA. And it's something I never want to hear again. Then to use tear gas and flash bank grenades to stop a peaceful protest so that he can take a picture at a church.

Threatening mass military use against US citizens on North American soil? Nope.

And people thought Obama was divisive

I haven't seen a Trump response. Not his job really. Realistically this is the job of local and state authority. Governors have the authority to call up the national guard.

I am really disappointed in how many jurisdictions are responding to the rioters. Not gonna cherry pick any data just saying many allowed this to spiral out of control.

What happened to Floyd was detestable. We now have pathology showing he died from pressure exerted by the cop. So I am 100% for protesting for change. We are getting our justice. Watch it unfold and stop providing cover for the thugs.

At this point it is no longer about getting justice. It's about how they inspired the thugs and anarchists to destroy things they envy. And loot. And who are the biggest victims in this anarchy? Why the people in the very communities hardest hit. Does anyone think a bank will loan money to open a business in burned out areas? Will Target return? Grocers? Those neighborhoods are being set back years. Way to go rioters.

He should sign an executive order making it illegal for law enforcement to kill someone that’s detained and in custody, and not a threat.

This was by design and planned. It indirectly shows they are with the protestors, rioters and looters while being against DT and whatever they will paint him to be. The more civil unrest and economic impact this has the greater the hate for current admin will be which may lead to losing the election in November. It doesnt matter what DT does at this point it will be negative. He can come out on CNN with Chauvin's severed head in his hand and these groups would claim it is a "photo-op" or pandering. Damned if he does, damned if he doesnt.

only sort of jacking the thread but this seems to fit here, and too lazy to start a thread.
anyway, soliciting suggestions on how these two shitheads ought to be sentenced bearing in mind that this will be Federal (terrorism, conspiracy, WMD and so forth) so no parole.
i'm going with 20-25 years.
death penalty, sadly, is unrealistic.
your thoughts?
of course, any members who think these two should get medals we so want to hear from you....
