You get your panties in a twist over a group of cheesecake employees, and I'm the problem. Sure buddy.

Maybe try looking into that mirror of yours and see that posting in a thread about how much liberals suck is the start of the problem. You and your cohorts in here seem to take great pleasure in pointing out the things you hate about those that don't agree with your political views. This thread is basically the same thing as what you are pointing out that the cheesecake employees did. Except it's semi-anonymous.

How about YOU try to be the change you want in the world.

Whining and bitching and moans aside
Do you agree with what these employees did and condone their actions as justified ?
Any normal reasonable adult without an inkling of political biased would see that the employees in question were in fact rude , confrontational and hostile towards the patron

This isn't a thread about "liberals sucking", it's a thread filled with examples of hypocrisy. My post fits the context of this thread. Create a thread called "Conservative hypocrisy" and I'll be happy to post in it as there are plenty of example of that out there too.

You seem, at least on this forum, like a very angry person that is quick to make assumptions. I hope you are someday able to resolve that. Enjoy your week.

I can understand why you might think that way, but that is not my intent. I'm confident that Sak is a fine person.

But I see a conflict, and that would be the duty of every citizen to voice their approval or disapproval of our nations leaders policies and behavior. If we remain silent, our politicians will see that as approval of everything they do, good or bad.

Case in point: Our City Council managed to make some big changes in our zoning ordinances with little fan-fare. The changes, among other things, involves doubling the density of our traditional family residential neighborhoods by allowing property owners to build a second building on traditional single-dwelling residential lots. That might not seem like a big deal to most folks, but we have a large university nearby that is way short on on-campus housing. You get the picture, I'm sure. Landlords are now wringing their hand$ with glee.

So what do we, the permanent residents, do about this? Glad you asked. We networked. This networking involved writing letters to the editor of our local newspapers and magazines and also participation in our community forum; a forum much like this one. I found it amazing how quickly folks got aboard after they became fully informed about what was going on at City Hall. We, one big voice, all had the same complaints - because we spoke up.

One voice or a dozen voices is little more than a fart in a whirlwind. But because we chose to speak up, we now have not hundreds, but thousands of voices speaking up. And it's working. We're gaining traction everyday, resulting in some positive action to save our city from permanent damage and loss of quality of life. This is how it's supposed to work.

My wife's aunt was a 5-term state senator in a northwestern state and retired undefeated many years ago. I always enjoyed visiting her. She always encouraged us: "Get involved. Speak up." And I want to make it clear that I'm not encouraging trashing anyone - that's not my term. But disagree with a politician? Well sure! That is our right!

I still say, acquiescence translates to approval. I believe every citizen has an obligation to speak up regarding any and all government officials. Speak up (clearly and concisely) if you support them and likewise, if you disagree with them. This is how a consensus is built - there's no other way.

Lacking that, we deserve what we get.

I voice my approval or disapproval of government leaders, at every level, every single time I go to the polls.

That comes as little surprise. It is our civic duty to vote. But beyond that, I’m getting the distinct impression that you refuse to voice your opinions to your representatives after they are elected to office. Isn’t that our duty as well? How else can our representatives represent our interests if we fail to let them know what we agree or disagree with? How else can citizens reach a consensus if they won’t discuss issues?

You are wrong. I express my opinion to them, both good and bad. What I don't do is go on the internet into a car forum and say that I think the president is a POS. Slander in a public place is never the answer to accomplishing anything. YMMV.

Very reasonable position. Completely out of place in this sub-forum.

You meant libel; libel is written, slander is spoken. It's not libel or slander if it's true, or even if there is a hint of a shred of a glimmer of a possibility of it being true. Courts give personal opinion a lot of latitude. A *lot*. First Amendment and all that.

Sorry, I was using slander as a generic term. I apologize if it was technically incorrect. I said nothing about someone's right to say those things - I just said that I don't, which is also why I ended with YMMV.

Once the Catholic Church stops promoting, hiding, and moving around pedophiles I might be interested in what they have to say.

Clinton to be honored at Harvard for ‘transformative impact’
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefi...rmative-impact

I guess they didn't have a We Feel So Sorry For You award. Add in Comey teaching an ethics class at William and Mary and students at Yale calling it a toxic environment for males.
That's a bingo! Chicken dinner.

She did have a "transformative impact": she helped normalize sexual assault and corruption, which led to a piece of ass-trash like Trump.

There's no doubt in my mind that the Clintons will be viewed as some of the most un-American destructive people in modern times. Bill Clinton directly caused the Great Recession, and together they directly caused Trump, a President assaulting all pillars of liberty, freedom, and democracy.

In 100 years, Trump will be Chapter 1 of Democracy Under Attack, but the Clintons will be Chapters 2-5.
