Would change the narrative significantly if those who believed in it paid for it wouldn't it! Let's apply that to all social programs as well. Lets call it charity which left are so good at being mostly atheists.

If it weren't for redistribution of wealth bs some are so in support of none of this would be a discussion. 2 poor people cant vote to take the 3rd persons money because it's a majority. This is morally wrong.

It's the sun spots. Always has been, always will be.

Instead of enjoying the brief period of above average warmth due to high sun spot activity, the loons wasted the time they could have been out in the sun making up some nonsense about man man climate change. Now that the sunspot activity is back to minimal, the earth is rapidly cooling down again. I guess the loons are happier when everybody is freezing? It does fit their philosophy, they aren't happy until everybody is just as miserable as they are.

I just grabbed what the Danish Meteorological Institute had to offer. I'm assuming that those charts and graphs may not have existed prior to 2004? Unlike simple tide gauges that have existed for upwards of a hundred years or more, sophisticated means for measuring and modeling arctic ice volume hasn't existed that long (arctic ice extent goes back farther as that is easier to measure). It is only since the satellite era that this data became available.

Here is what the National Snow and Ice Data Center has to offer with respect to arctic ice extent (not to be confused with arctic ice volume which includes thickness as well as extent) with average extents for the period from 1981 to 2010. That is pretty much as far back as you can go using satellite derived data. It also conveniently starts during a very cold period in the northern hemisphere (~1977-1979) which would have been near a peak in arctic ice extent.

My bad. Intention was not to be condescending.

Problem with your chart is it doesn’t necessarily back up your claim.
1st problem: it ranges from August to December, so of course the graph will have that pattern.
2nd problem: 2012 and 2018 are below the median, interdecile, and interquartile ranges. What’s your explanation for that?
3rd problem(minor): 2018 is incomplete. It will be interesting to see how this year finishes out on that graph.

Here’s also a chart from NSIDC. This correlates with the pattern on the chart you used, but as you can see the X-axis is labeled with years rather than months so you’re getting a much fuller picture of data relative to Arctic ice extent data.

So in 40 years it's gone from lower than average ice to above and back to below. Weird. Why would it go up? Cuz its cyclical, cuz we dont know. Cuz democratic presidents. You cant make this shit up, oh wait let try it!

Answer by Inna Vishik, P.h.D. Applied Physics & Physics, Stanford University, on Quora:

What are some theories in physics that were accepted but later proven to be wrong?

This is an important question, because all too often, science is presented as trafficking in absolute truths. On the contrary, science is a framework for interpreting, systematizing, and predicting nature based on empirical observations. That is to say, a well accepted ‘theory’ (framework for understanding/predicting nature) can always be upended with sufficiently compelling contrary evidence.

Global Ice Age/Global Warming/Climate Change/Anthropogenic Climate Change people should remember the emboldened answer. It is critical to understand this in regard to the garbage they are espousing.

My naming of the different iterations of this was purposeful and specific...it notes the adjustments in nomenclature to fit the theory as the previous one was proven incorrect. It's not science. It's a politicized money grab.

Lol right. Did you even look at the chart? you missed the part where artic ice extent is on a downward trend over a ~40 year span....

Guys, we got snow in this week here, towards the end of November. Clearly, climate change is cyclical/fake news.

Quite sad to see intelligent people being forced to deny reality just to defend their presidents poorly informed stance on climate change.

You can be a trump supporter and still disagree with him on certain things. Instead you treat him like a dictator who can say & do no wrong.

Dude, I knew this was bad science when I was an engineering student back in the 1980's. Get real.

It was BS then and it's BS now.

Remember...it was global ice age which was to hit before the year 2000. Glaciers all the way down to Kansas. I'm still waiting.

It seems that we blew past his point of no return like Lewi5 Hamilton blowing by Vettel in the F1 Championship this year.

From the luminous Mr. Gore:

In January, 2006 — when promoting his Oscar-winning (yes, Oscar-winning) documentary, An Inconvenient Truth — Gore declared that unless we took “drastic measures” to reduce greenhouse gasses, the world would reach a “point of no return” in a mere ten years. He called it a “true planetary emergency.” Well, the ten years passed today, we’re still here, and the climate activists have postponed the apocalypse. Again.

This would be funny if so many people haven't been fooled by it!

Right, cause the debate about climate change only began when Trump was inaugurated. TDS on display.

Snowiest decade ever recorded in the Northeast continues. Of course, the climate alarmist nutters have an excuse for that too!

https://boston.cbslocal.com/2018/11/...-the-forecast/

I love how they conveniently forget about the longest stretch of time without a major hurricane as well, right in the MIDDLE of all their climate nutter hysteria. What was the excuse for that one?

Actually, your first link says the opposite:

"Interestingly, some scientists have stated that increasing snow is consistent with climate change because warmer air holds more moisture, more water vapor and this can result in more storms with heavy precipitation. The trick, of course, is having sufficient cold air to produce that snow. But note that 93% of the years with more than 60″ of snow in Boston were colder than average years. The reality is cooling, not warming, increases snowfall."

That's what I mean, they have an excuse for everything. If it's hot it's because of global warming, if it's cold it's because of global warming. "Some scientists say", it's a complete joke.

That article says that it is NOT from global warming.

Right, I'm talking about the ""Interestingly, some scientists have stated that increasing snow is consistent with climate change because warmer air holds more moisture, more water vapor and this can result in more storms with heavy precipitation" line. That's the joke in all of it.

Fair enough. Let's see what other weathermen think of climate change.

Pretty cut and dry from the societies point of view.
