What is the pipe connecting the charge air cooler with the turbocharger in the US?

Hi,

I am looking for the name of the pipe connecting the charge air cooler with the turbocharger -- in the United States. I am interested in what BMW calls it and, if this is not a commonly used term in the United States, what the commonly used term for it is.

Thanks.

Couldn't find details for the 316i but it's probably similar to the 318ti

Thanks for your reply. I should add that I don't mean specific to a particular model. I am looking for a generally applicable term.

In the diagram that you linked to, are you thinking it is the intake tube (8)?

Charge air cooler is called an intercooler here. The part you're referring to between the turbo and the intercooler is called the 'outlet'

BMW calls it "charge air line," colloquially it's called a "charge pipe" in the US.
