Powertailgate - can it be coded?
Okay, I have to own up, this is about an e70, built may 2013. But I also own an e93 which is why I joined the forum. I have looked at e70 forum and it seems to be all americans and canadians. So looking for help here.
The e70 I have does not appear to have powertail gate to open and close on key flob and button on dash. It does pop the lock when you press it but the the 'lid' does not rise and when open, pressing the key and dash button does nothing. Anyone know if the car can have power tailgate simply by coding? It seems lots of cars from around 2009 onwards have power tail gates. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Digitize. Not sure how you tell the difference between gas struts and whatever the other ones are. What do I need to look for?

An eBay seller call SF3Engineering makes them. Currently 3rd generation and are pretty perfect.
Check the video in the description: https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/141988628533 Also, check his other items for sale for LCI kit. |
