ticking sound during accelleration
Hey guys, I experienced this once before in the past but after taking the car in for a service, and it went away. My advisor couldnt replicate it when he tested it, but he told me a bolt had fallen off or come loose on my downpipe. Seemed to do trick...
Until now, about 6 months later, its seems to have come back out of no where. Anyone else experience this? Is this a downpipe or exhaust issue? It's like a ticking noise from either under the car or the back. It picks up as I accelerate and is not present during idle or light driving. Doesn't seem to effect the performance nor have I recieved any warning notifications... Any additional advice or info before I take it back in? Im on a road trip and would be seeing a different BMW center and advisor. So any wisdom could help. Thanks! [320i FBO map 2] |

Sound clip? Maybe wastegate rattle? My car sounds fine at idle but as soon as I give it gas and near a wall I can hear it rattling slightly. Getting annoying for me as well as a 50K care should never rattle like this POS does. Just keeping it till warranty ends and moving either to a 335 and give it one last go with BMW or move to another car all together.
