Is this worth re-doing?

I just installed some Bilstein B8s and noticed that the lower spring extends slightly beyond the spring seat. I thought it looked good when I was bolting everything up, but maybe I missed it.

Is this worth taking off and twisting it like a quarter of an inch, or is it fine the way it is? I really only care from a safety standpoint.

I would say yes as a general statement, but I don't have these, so I'll let the ones with them speak to how this would affect the particular unit.

You are fine. It's not going to move with usage.

Thanks for the info all. Given the overall lack of interest in the thread, I'm assuming this is really no big deal. I'll leave it as is. It doesn't make any noise, it doesn't interfere with anything and it appears to function normally.

Yeah it technically should be fine. Your car might be lower by a miniscule amount

I recently installed B8's as well. If I was in your shoes, I would redo it for peace of mind.

Besides, you will only doing one corner and already familiar with the process.

With suspension off loaded you can rotate that spring by hands, if you are strong that is, I have done it few times :-)
