Saw this while inspecting the oil pan. It is behind the pan, can see it through a gap in the skid panels. The photo has been flipped so I could read the numbers easier but google is no help.

F30 335i 2013

Is that oil/dirt buildup normal?

looks like seepage around that particular area.

I see "ACM" on the top right of the pic so to me, that tells me it's the transmission module control.

this is an inspection plug and it is on the bell housing, if it's wet you might have a small leak on the torque converter seal, the pump (rare) or the input shaft seal.
the tcu is part of the mechatronics unit wich is internal so acm means nothing.

i'd remove it to see if there is more oil inside and if no i'd not worry about it.

how many miles has this car ?

Hey - 78,000 miles. The dealer check it for me and said no leaks...and they are replacing oil pan under warranty so I'm sure they'd tell me if it was leaking...
