My U.S. iX Order Timeline From Order to Production

Finally.... after 6 months of literally zero info since placing my deposit, my iX has been scheduled for production.

The timeline appears to be as follows:
9/24/21 Deposit paid
11/16/21 Order placed
3/28/22 Status 112. Production # assigned.
5/18/22 Scheduled for production

Barring any unforeseen delays, I'm hoping for July 1 delivery. My order is unchanged from submission, and no deletions (other than passenger lumbar) appear on the build sheet.

Fingers crossed.....

Congrats! Mineral White with Amido leather, can't wait to see some pics.

My SA confirmed that a customer preorder (not mine) that was placed the first day ordering opened, is in production. BMW is starting to produce US-bound vehicles for sure.

Good question! I didn't ask, they didn't say. I must have been too euphoric after first contact to risk hearing any bad news....

Once quoted, how long are rates firm ?

Same. I got my confirmation last wednesday that my build went to status 150.

I was told that any rate approvals that happen right now will be locked until May 31 with a good chance of bmw extending this to june.

Just got the new iX in My Garage on bmwusa.com

I was offered the current rate promotion of 2.99 financing but I can do better with my credit union unless they offer a loyalty credit which they are researching. Rate is good until 5/31.

I took someone's pre-order spot who backed out so my name is not in the original 1.99% offer.

Leasing deals are also posted online and they look pretty high, so going with traditional financing.

Things are moving, getting excited!

Following in your footsteps, I had a last minute urge to change the color to Oxide Gray with Mocha Sensatec. I recently saw the Sensatec on a demo and thought it looked great ! This was quickly shot down by my SA who cautioned that it would delay my order....

Great suggestion! I was able to add mine using my production number, and I'm seeing the same production status as you. Now I have another website to obsessively check in the coming weeks....

Agree, I bet the option would cost at least 500 if we were to add it. When they remove, it's wholesale when we add it's MSRP + xx% markup.

The credit is entirely out of step with the price of the option. We are fortunate in NZ that our credit is NZ$800

Anyone hear of confirmed allocations for the M60? I'm on the wait list but my dealer says there aren't any allocations yet.

Yes, I understand. However allocations have to happen before that! The dealers have to put the builds into the system.

Congrats! When did it change status if you remember?

Mine still stuck at 112.

Would be nice to start tracking time to move from 111 (order received) to 112 (scheduled for production) to 150 (production begins) status.
