Thoughts on modding n20?
I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about this, I have a 328i xdrive n20, and debating on adding a few extra hp(50-60) if it will still be reliable as a DD. Was thinking of doing tune stage 2, intercooler, charge pipe, catted downpipe. Do I need anything else? Or is some of this unnecessary to achieve my goal? Also biggest question is it safe to do all this on 91oct? The way gas prices are right now i couldn't really justify paying 30-40% more on 93-94.

When I stayed out of boost I would average 22-25 mpg in the city and 30-32mpg highway. You'll get better gas mileage making the car breathe easier and keeping lead out of your right foot.
Intercooler + pipes (boost + charge + turbo inlet + downpipe) and up to date maintenance.

it's safe to use 91 as long as you are choosing stage 2 91 maps from bootmod3
We offer combo deals that take you from stock to stage 2 at a discounted price.

That's the annoying part with California gas, you will still feel a difference but from my experience it was very jerky with the throttle and each gear felt sluggish |
