Low-speed cold transmission jerkiness/slipping?

I've noticed some days when I first head out to work or whatever with a cold car that the transmission seems like it is slipping or jerking and low speed. I'm going to mention this during my next service appointment being around 60,000 miles but I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this?

I have experienced this and was told it wasn’t an issue (has been very hard to pin down for me as it happens sporadically).

A thread just popped up on the other forum though with a TSB about the issue. So might be worth getting the dealer to perform the TSB.

I assume you have xDrive?

I've had it happen from time to time. Nothing consistent about when it happens, but typically if I let off the throttle and the car is rolling and then get back on it. I occasionally get a shudder like the tranny can't figure out what gear to be in.

Is it because the transmission fluid is cold and more "thick". Like engine oil presumably needs to warm up to operating temperatures to be best at its job?

I do however this is under very light throttle like when leaving home early in the morning. Don't believe it happens every day too.

Possibly, but it doesn't really get too cold in an 80 degree garage overnight.
