Initial Budget??

I everyone, while we still have time before the unveiling of the G87 I was wondering what everyone's initial budgets were. Obviously things can change from now until ordering (hello lottery). I was just wanting to get an idea of where everyone's thoughts were at.

For me, I think I will check off most of the boxes. I am budgeting $85k as I want most of the goodies.

Damn, $85k?? You should be able to get all the options including an individual color at that price point.

I'd like to stay below 70k before taxes, ideally 68ish

That was the plan for me though I admit not getting the car when it first comes out. We are currently paying off my wife's car so do not want to deal with two car payments. I was wanting to get the LCI version.

I guess my thought process is, I currently drive a tesla model 3 which I bought new (2018) and though it is a great car (dependable, no issues, and in today's environment...no gas, it has been great), I just want something more "fun" and sporty. I want to get a fun sporty car before they are gone. The industry is going electric which is fine, but before all the fun cars are gone, I want to get one and enjoy it for awhile before switching back to electric.

MSRP for my M240i is ~$63k. If I can get into a M2 for $5k more I'll be getting on a list the day I take delivery.

Maxing out at mid 70's with the limited options I want including destination & handling + taxes. If I can't make that happen, I will abandon BMW and start looking at other options.

$75k-$80k with Individual paint (non routine paint may be $10k), Individual interior parts if available(Leather and WOOD).
Will be curious to see IF the standard roof is AL, then how much is Carbon? Can I get the Individual M stripes built into the roof's Carbon? The CCB that I planned on getting are supposedly not even available so that will help some......I do NOT want Carbon Buckets at all.

I'm almost maxing out a 240 build and coming in at 59k. Either way, my M2 build won't be loaded by any means. Only things that are a must are the CF roof and manual. Everything else is negotiable .

I don't blame ya, I ordered an almost maxed out 23 RS3 for 66K. I also ordered the M2, with my priority being the M2, unless the options are trash and it's ugly…

I’m looking to spend ~$70k USD, wether this gets me a lightly optioned M2 or a base M2.

The individual paint is becoming an option that I am really considering. I saw in another thread where a someone stated that BMW can decline that option or color I think. Is that true? How do you know which colors are available to select? What color/s are you considering?

All this talk about individual paint, but do we know if they'll even offer another interior color besides black yet? I'm still not convinced they will…

That is the other thing...I am NOT having another car with a 'black' (charcoal gray) interior. I just cannot stand how drab it feels to me. Please let us have at least: Brown/Caramel or similar. And extra option, my favorite: Tartufo!

I'm with you. I think we're stuck with black. Really would love the G80 options.

I'd like to stay under 70k.

I wanted to order my M240i with Skyscraper Gray paint and a Tartufo interior, but BMW had no individual options for the '22 M240s.

The more I read this thread the more it looks like I'm putting down a deposit on a G87 when I take delivery of my M240i... I just hate the iD8 so much.

Yes, it is true. Color selection has to be approved. Individual paint more than likely will not be initially offered and will arrive at a later date. I have been using the individualizer and selecting the G80/G82 to give me ideas of colors that I would select. There is absolutely no guarantee that this color palette will be offered on the G87. https://www.bmw-m.com/en/fastlane/bmw-individual.html
