Remus axle back - install costs

Hi guys. If any of you had the Remus axle back installed on your 540 can you share install labor info. Interested in how many hours the typical install takes. This is so I compare pricing for install. Thanks.

I don't have the Remus, but install of an axle-back on any G30 is pretty much the same. Either one pipe cut and drop out (540) or two (M550). Then it's up with the new and all clamps. It "should" take no more than an hour, but expect the price to range from $200-$300. Full Cat-back $300-$450.

Thanks Joe. I also looked at the install instructions seemed straight forward ex: cutting the pipe.

You could easily DIY it. This is all you need (and ramps):

Personally, it's worth a few hundred to me to pay someone.

No way would I try the install myself. Glad to pay 1-200 for install. I was just looking for a barometer of sorts so I don't get ripped off.

I used those when I swapped to eisenmann on the m550. Though it's doable, it was difficult to get pressure applied and a clean cut around the entire pipe. I switched to a sawzall and it cut through like butter. If you have access to one, makes it a much easier DIY.

My Remus "cat-back" system install costed $450.00 (tax included) at my local BMW service department almost two years ago. The installation took about 3 hours which included miscellaneous shop material/supplies in order to complete the project.

Thanks man. That's in line with what Joe paid for his cat back install. Seems to me it should be 1 to 2 hours at most for the axle back.
