635 Wheels Curb Rash
I scraped one of my wheels on a curb. The damage is only next to the tire. The gray part was not scraped. I was able to sand and polish the site and now I want to paint just the damaged portion. I have these wheels:

Most dealership have contractors that do work just like this, mostly on lease returns before being resold. Have you reached out to a dealer to see if they might share who they use for touch-ups such as this? When I drive by our dealer I see their contractors vans all the time.

Paint as such does not readily stick to aluminium. The diamond cut and the grey paint have a final cover of stove finished clear lacquer applied to them, which is what you have damaged, along with the bare aluminium. Its a tyre off job to have it done correctly. |

I eventually used finer and finer sandpaper to get the perfectly smooth surface. From a short distance one can hardly tell damage was done. It is bound to happen again.
