X5M Transmission fluid info?
I can't seem find this info anywhere. I like to do preventative maintenance on my cars to make sure they are running like new.
Can someone tell me what fluid is in a 2020 X5M Comp and how much do i need to change it? Same for the rear differential. Thanks! Alan

Rear diff fluid is BMW P/N: 83222447362
The transmission fluid is supposed to be "lifetime" and doesn't have a change interval. "Note: The automatic transmissions have a life-time oil filling. These transmissions require no oil change for their entire service life." |

Yeah I know BMW considers it a lifetime fill but ZF who manufacturer the unit actually specifies the fluid should be changed at some point. Last i heard it was 60K mark but i figure its cheap enough to do why not do it sooner if its better for the transmission.

Understood. Here's a list of approved fluids from ZF. You can buy service kits from FCP Euro as well. Personally I'd go with ZF LifeguardFluid 8 (ZF No. S671 090 312) but BMW ATF 3+, Oil No. 83222289720 is suitable as well. You need fluid for a 8HP76 transmission.
