I always enjoy their reviews. They never come across as brand fan boys and try to be objective, and of course they vmax on the autobahn ! Great verdict. They nailed it with the comments on the dash and physical controls. Peak BMW.

It’s like everything I’ve thought about felt about this car translated into words and expressions from a pretty big car reviewer. I’ve watched him for years and I love his high opinion of this car.

Great review! This thing moves out and is truly a joy to drive and is playful and yet comfortable at the same time

I’ve hit 152mph and he hit 157mph… 🤩

The Handschalter is a perfect sports car

Great review.... my eyes almost popped out of my head when he was going 130 and took both hands off the wheel to gesture! LOL!

Not that I’d ever consider such a bold move, but clearly he’s a master of his trade and is lighthearted while completely relaxed behind the wheel. His happy go lucky calm nature clearly shows in his driving style

Great review. He is truly a professional driver with no fear of speed. It’s still crazy to me that he drives cars approaching 170 mph with semi trucks on the same road. Autobahn is insane.

That blew me away how quickly the car gets up to 130... first time I'd seen one in such high-performance mode. It's going to be hard for me not to get in trouble.

They don't screw around over there. I felt safer driving 120mph on the Autobahn, than I do driving 60mph in our little rush hours in Vermont.

Yeah, I wish they had the same standards in North America. It seems like most of the passing that I end up having to do is on the right side of the road because there’s two or three morons blocking the actual fast lane and they can’t even maintain their speed

This is not an Autobahn vs Highway topic, Germans usually follow laws and regulations in general. North Americans prefer the freedom. There are serious consequences in Germany for not following the laws. Also, everything is monitored and recorded. People just fear to get in trouble. Law enforcement can pull you over at any time without any reason just to check your car, papers and do an alcohol and drug test. Nobody would accept this overseas.

Roadsters should always come in manual. When the last manual boxster and z4 roll off the line, it will be a very sad day in automotive history.

While this segment is very small, the Z4 M40i provides so much value for this type of car especially when you compare it to the Boxster GTS 4.0 - in Canada you’re looking at a $30k+ difference.

As a former Z4 M40i owner, this was a fabulous review to watch. One reason I moved to an M3 was for the manual gearbox, which I did just before the Z4 became available with the manual ...not saying I would have bought the Z4 again, but I sure am jealous of those that got it with the manual.

I also really miss the exhaust note of this car. The M3 just doesn't sound like much. The Z4's factory exhaust is outstanding.

The "bang for the buck" with the Z4 in automatic or manual form is tough to beat.

I find myself getting bored of my m2 after just a few short months. I believe I could get into one of these for nearly a straight swap. Would anybody else consider a trade like this?
