Sun Roof Lint
Anyone know the easiest way to remove the lint build-up that occurs on the felt perimeter of the sun roof ?
It collects all the loose microfiber lint and holds it forever. Thanks.

Yeah .. I wanted to avoid that only due to the fact that the tape leaves residue on the glass or paint. Both of which were just detailed - and the cycle never ends - LOL

The trim should still be damp after drying, use your finger to rub it off. It comes off easy when wet.

Haven't tried the finger trick when wet.
When 100% dry, I use a rolling lint remover, just like the ones used for removing lint form your clothes. Works like a charm. Alternatively roll some blue painters tape backwards around your hand (sticky side out, to state the obvious) and press/roll off around the felt. Good as new. |

As NFS13 said after washing your car just run your finger along the felt and the lint balls up and is easily removed.

The other thing to think about is if you use a chamois to dry your car vs towel, you would not have to mess with lint

Guys the easiest, cheapest and least time consuming also most effective way is as EK 335i said, to do it when u wash the car or when its wet...just run ur finger along that perimeter and it rolls into a ball... comes off easy as pie. Any other way is a waste of money, time and effort.
