WHY????

I spent two hours cleaning my car on Saturday morning, only to have
unexpected drizzle Saturday night. OK, I can deal with that. Woke up Sunday and cleaned my car again. It was back to being perfect. Then, out of nowhere, Sunday night comes some snow flurries. When it flurries, there must be a mandate, somewhere within the Northern New Jersey Public Works Department guidelines, that when it flurries/snows, you must cover the roads with about three inches work of salt. The salt on the road had just washed away from flurries that happened two weeks ago. I think that NJ could significantly reduce their budget by lowering the amount of salt they put down. Plus, it would make a lot of clean car fanatics feel a little bit better. My once clean, Black Sapphire coupe is back to being white. Sorry, I just had to vent.

I'm with you. I was so happy to get out and wash my car on Saturday, and the car looked fantastic (Sapphire Black like yours ) only to have the Sunday rain. Oh well. At least I got most of the salt off it.

I think our brains have internal barometers that compell us to wash our cars just before it rains or snows.

A clean car with new dirt looks better than a dirty car with new dirt---first law of car washing. Keep the bucket full.
