noise comming from differential area!!!!
so im getting a noise from my differential area that goes on acceleration and deceleration at low speeds. the noise is described in this old thread
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...oise+low+speed what my concern is if i take it into the dealer would i have to worry about them blaming anything on the: 1) coilovers 2) CDV delete 3) clutch stopper. if they find a problem in the differential would they notice that i deleted my CDV?

I wouldn't worry about it. My 07 335 did it and so does my 09. My 07 X3 also clicked once and a while.

I posted up about this too awhile back. My car did this starting from when it had 6 miles on it. After a couple weeks, I made a shop foreman take a ride with me and he said that it sounded normal. I tested another 3 series just to make sure and heard the noise as well. Aside from the click, which you can only really hear in an enclosed space, there haven't been any posts on this board that indicates it causes any problems. I would just leave it alone...OR, you can get a LSD

I had this issue and the dealer thought I needed another driveshaft. It turned out to be much simpler. The driveshaft spline is packed with grease to get rid of the slack. Some of them aren't packed with enough grease and there is a little bit of slack. That's the sound you hear.

I have posted my sound problem on another thread, but wanted to let you know that I'm having a similar problem. The car only has 1900 miles on it. The dealer is replacing the differential.
