Up Voltage on DRL

anyone try and up the voltage on the DRL on pre LCI E90?
This would make them brighter and whiter especially if you put in a whiter H7.

You run the risk of melting your wires why don't you just go with a brighter bulb? I do know some that have done this tho.. maybe they will give you some advice

^You would have no risk as long as you stayed under or up to 13V

Yes, I installed 8K H7 bulbs from JP Thunder. They are so bright white when you pull the stalk I love it. They are a little whiter on they normal setting, but my guess the are only getting around 6 or 7 volts. 10 volts would be sooo much better, and there would still be a contrast when you flash them. Anyone have any ideas?

im looking for threads for how to up voltage since im interested too. my main concern is the Led angel eye bulb and its heat generated with the extra voltage. seems like they will burn out sooner than rated. anyone?

^ Same here, need to know if using the led bulbs on the angel eyes would be ok to up the voltage for them.
Even though it's brighter than stock, would be nice to go a tad brighter

Pointless on LED AEs.
This is for halogen.

Not to mention most quality LED AEs have resistors inline that would negate upped voltage.
