Brake pads service light acting weird :/
Hi there guys hope your all well am having a problem with the brake light icon. I did look on the forum but there wasn't anything that could help me. Hope some one can help thanks.
Now I changed my rear pads as the light was on and my pads were worn, so I tired to turn off the light. It didn't do much but it showed the amber brake light and under the icon this (mls------). And when I turn the car off it shows a red icon of a car on a lift and when I turn the car on it shows a service light. Does any one know how I can solve this problem thanks. And for my front brakes the brake light icon has come on to which is weird as I have changed the pads and disc on the front. I changed my front pads and disc a month ago with a new sensor and it was till today. Under the brake icon it shows this (mls------). My car need a service so I serviced it today and turn the light off no problem. Thank you for looking and helping

Think there was a PUMA case on this...
i had the same issues and they couldn't sort it...in the end, they removed the sensor.... i assume you've got new sensors aswell with the brake pads.... |

Thanks for the reply mate
Well I changed the front sensor and I don't know why that light has come up to be honest. And for the back sensor I didn't change it as some one said you don't have to change them. And euro car part didn't offer me the sensor this time so I thought I didn't have to change it. So I will have to get a new sensor then. Did you get a new sensor too Thanks

yeah, got new sensors but didn't solve the issue....the light kept popping up...
i don't think we need sensors anyways....just a visual check will do.... |

I had the same issue on my car, with the red car on lift icon. I ended up cutting the sensors off and soldering them together and resetting it with my Bavarian Technic cable. The manual reset using the obc button wouldn't work for some reason and I have read similar on here before. So either get the dealer to reset or someone with Autologic or similar.
I prefer to check them myself visually, when mine showed 0 miles the pads had plenty of meat left. |

do this, and scroll to the service that is yellow (should be front or rear brakes). Hold the BC button until you see a box with a check and "reset" next to it. Should solve your problem |
