Wiring Diagram
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the E90?
I am looking for the wiring diagram for the connector which the MF buttons plug into on connector coming out the steering column.

I fitted some paddles to my car last weekend and routed 2 wires down to the gear selector and all works a treat - I removed 2 yellow wires from the connector to make way for 2 new wires - I just want to find out what the 2 yellow wires I removed were for and what they did if they were used?

Are we talking the yellow wire from the slip ring underneath the steering wheel?
If so then everyone was left a little stumped. As some have noted there being a current available for readout and some not. The general consensus is/was that it was used for the OEM paddle replacement where by the paddles run through the slip ring into the ECU. If this was the case, then it would need coding of some description. When I did mine, there was no read out of anything coming through and so appeared to be a dead wire, or one that was not in current use. |

No it's the 2 yellow wires which I had to remove to make way for 2 wires which went to the gear selector.
