Ipod Connectivity
I have recently purchased a E90 60 plate 320d. I have the USB connector in the glove box but not the centre console. I was hoping to be able to control an iPod on the drive system with album art work etc. At the moment all I can do is import the music from a 4th gen iPod nano, or memory stick.
Obviously my drive might not do it I guess, how can I find out? And if we think it does, hoe can I make it work. Little things but would like to be able to do it if I can. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks |

You need the centre console USB if you want to control the iPod.

All you need is:
> USB / Aux in socket (this will replace your aux in socket found in under the armrest. > USB wire from combox to socket > then coding to activate the new functions Total cost in parts & coding = £80ish |

Or you could throw the best part of £1k at your local BMW dealer and ask them to do it for you

Is this the right sort of thing? Just looking around, wasn't going to perhaps go to eBay.

Thank you. So just grab those two bits and find someone who can install and recode, that should allow me to control my iPod and maybe upgrade the idrive software? As I read that again you need the centre console usb for that.
Little things but if your going to have a car a while you want it to do everything you would like don't you. Thank you all for the help everyone |
