Suspension refresh what to do??
Hi all
Have a 330 with 140000 km on clock. Feels floaty and trams a little. Suspension place says my bushings are ok, but car doesn't feel tight. Steering also very heavy ( please I understand bmw steering...this is my sixth, but this steering is too heavy) Thinking about buying a meyle suspension refresh kit which includes tie rods arms etc. I'm also planning on a b12 kit for the shocks and springs. What about rear bushes? What should I replace? Even tho the shop said things were ok, surely the about will help dramatically Input appreciated gents |

I would replace the upper strut mounts and get a rear shock mount kit as well. I would leave the rear bushes alone unless you have a specific problem back there . . .

I just put new eibachs and bilstein touring sports along with front and rear mounts, rubber seats for springs, shorter bumpstops, all the washers and bolts what not and swaybar links. Didn't do any bushings. Car feels very tight. I couldn't believe how worn the oem shocks were @ 84K.

When my E46 was in similar shape, I did the Koni FSD/Eibach Prokit bundle, along with:
Rogue engineering rear shock mounts Meyle HD front control arms and control arm bushing M3 rear trailing arm bushings with vorschlag limiters OEM strut bearings and tie rods plus some other miscellaneous stuff. That COMPLETELY transformed the car. It both rode better AND handled better than it did the day I picked it up from the dealer with 34 miles on the clock. Not bad for a 9-year-old car with 85k miles. |

koni yellows and h&r spring are pretty popular on here. Plus you could go with a mild drop!
And you could also replace tie rods and control arms with m3 ones for a bit more which would dramatically improve handleing/turing.
