Coding Software
So in the sticky "coding success" there is a DIY and software. However I can not download any of it. Would someone mind giving me a link, or sending it to me? I'll put it up on Drive after. Thanks in advance!

Password for zip: *********pack052013 That's all you need. Don't follow the DIY. It's very long and abs unnecessary uninstalls / reinstalls. Just follow INSTRUCTIONS.txt in the zip archive. If you get a warning of a missing EXX.ipo file (Google), just download it and copy it manually to correct location. |

When following the DIY in the folder you gave me, the INPA program is not letting me check airbag status. Why is that?

With the ignition on, and car not started, do you get the 2 black dots in INPA?

as long as that works, you should be fine. My airbag test wouldn't work either and I've been successfully coding my car.
Do the digital speedo tutorial and see if you make it through.

Well, then this DIY is confusing. Can someone just explain the NCS-Expert quickly? After I have established that the connection works, I go to NCS? Then load a profile?

You should make a back up of your whole car.
You should make a back up of your whole car.
If you are reading the original instructions you first make a backup copy of all the software to a trace file it should be about 220k in size. You put that in a backup folder so you have a way back if anything goes wrong. Then you read individual modules like cas or the kombi and rename them to man files. you edit the man files then you should back them up . Then you write the man files for the individual modules. |

These are my instructions I have for myself. Not sure if they help you, but may get you on the right track:
Load NCS >File>load profile “FSW PSW MAN” F1>F3>select your chassis>select “CAS” Press F6 for back Press F4 to select a specific module “process ecu” Select “CAS” then select “READ ECU” this is going to create another FSW_PSW.TRC Select “READ ECU” this will read all the values from the specific module and place them in the file Open the FSW_PSW.TRC file with notepad File>save as FSW_PSW.MAN (be sure to select “save as type” The “FSW PSW MAN” profile that we used is going to use this “FSW_PSW.MAN” file Make the option Change File >save Back to NCS now hit F5 for basic functions Select “coapiReadSgGetFswPsw” and ok.. Ok now take a look where it says “JOBNAME = CODIERDATEN_LESEN” We need to change that to a coding function because we want to write the changes to the module. Select F2 “job” select SG_CODIEREN and press ok Then press F3 to execute the job. Will gray out for some time.. now you will see this . notice the “coding ended’ message

Awesome, thanks guys! I can officially code. However trying to access the FRM module, I get this error:
Any ideas? Do I need a new profile for different modules? Or edit the work folder? Thanks for the help! EDIT: Nevermind. My car was off. I'll leave that up so everyone understands my stupidity. Either way, I can code. I love you guys. Thanks! |

How can you tell the level of your daten files?
How can you tell the level of your daten files?
Just redid the windows and air conditioner off mod after a seat sensor retrofit. Hadn't done it in two rears but don't want to mess with the Kombi unless I know I have the right level of software for my 06. For reset would it be the default level of the module or the default setting of the car as delivered? Is it reading the VO for the default levels? |
