I know. Last year it was the Hyundai Genesis, the year before the M-B C Class. I'm not sure why the category, but I'm sure somewhere at BMW headquarters, someone is celebrating. I'm just not sure what "Aspirational Luxury Car" means. Now, the RR Wraith, that is a luxury car to aspire to.

Just echoing what others have said. To me, the F30 (320i or 320d) and its competitors would fit this category much better. The F34's high price (relative to the aforementioned models) and its wagon queen family truckster qualities make it a vehicle that one purchases in its own right, not as a first step on the luxury car ladder.
I have a suspicion that they just really like the car, so they went searching for a category. |
