Rubbit

I was dubious but it's actually decent especially for winter washing.

Any issues doing this when there is roadsalt on the car? As you mentioned, it does make me nervous trying to rub it when the foam has road salt in it as it might scratch it more.

Detailer said nono to waterless wash although I know some people swear by it.

I have the AMMO waterless kit, but I will only use it for small touch ups in between washes.

That's the challenge though. I needed something to be able to wash the car in the winter and can't use my pressure washer setup and don't want to take it through a brushed car Wash, trying to avoid the high pH of the touchless washes, so this seems like the least of the evils. All the options are compromises. This seemed like the least offensive.

I haven't done a heavily salted car yet as it's still early winter. Ideally the foam emulsifies the dirt and salt and lift it up off the car and then I wipe it somewhat lightly the first time so that I'm trying to wipe yourself off as opposed to grinding it in.

Everything in moderation is probably the best approach. Touchless wash isn't going to do as much harm to your paint as people say, although there is definitely levels to the quality of touchless wash machine. There is only 1 of like 6 nearby touchless washes that I will even consider using. Bringing a wash bucket to the spray stall is a good option.

On sunday we got 50 deg temps so I broke out the pressure washer and got both cars nice and clean.

Yeah I considered the DIY thing at the wash but also realized I wasn't going to be standing outside in February washing my car. It has been reasonably warm over the past week
